About This Event
The Florence Community Feed the Hunger Packathon is returning - and it's hands down the most fun you'll ever have wearing a hair net.
You may not be able to hop on a plane for a mission trip overseas, but you can step into a mission opportunity right here in your own backyard. For two high-energy hours, we'll come together across generations - kids, students, parents, grandparents and colleagues - to pack thousands of meals that will feed malnourished children locally, nationally and around the world. This is faith in action. This is discipleship with sleeves rolled up. And this is something you don't want to miss.
Please register to help pack food or make a donation to sponsor meals. Better yet, sign up for both! Every box packed and every meal donated will directly help a child in need.
- $46 will feed a child for up to half a school year
- $91 will feed a child for up to an entire school year!
- $182 will feed two children for up to an entire school year!!
If you can’t attend the Packathon but wish to make a contribution to sponsor meals, please go to the donate section to make your donation. Can we bring food or drinks? No food or drinks are allowed in the packing area
When should we arrive at the Packathon? Arrive 15-30 minutes prior to your shift to get checked in
Can we wear necklaces or earrings? Yes but please make sure all hanging jewelry is tucked away in your hair net or clothes
Are hairnets a requirement? Yes, hairnets must be worn the entire time within the packing area
Will we stand the entire time of the 2-hour Packathon? Yes, you will be standing the entire time unless there is a request to have a seated position
Can I pack with a team if I have one? Yes, If you want to pack with a team please add Family Name / Small Group – Team Name (if you do not have a team name please put “individual”)
