About This Event

The Schoolanthropy Luncheon is the CMS Foundation’s largest fundraising event of the year. We invite you to join us for our 2026 experience!

The CMS Foundation invests in innovation to help Charlotte Mecklenburg Schools address big challenges and expand opportunities for our students and educators. As the nonprofit fundraising partner for Charlotte-Mecklenburg Schools, we harness the power of philanthropy to seed innovative ideas and accelerate system-wide transformation.

The theme of our 8th Annual Schoolanthropy Luncheon is ”Made in CMS”. Incredible talent is cultivated daily within our school district. During the luncheon, we’ll celebrate amazing alumni, highlight current students, and invite community members to dream about the school district we want to create for future students. 

Philanthropy is not limited to corporations or big donors. We believe everyone can have an impact on education by investing financially, volunteering, or simply showing support for our public schools. We call the support of public education “schoolanthropy.”

 

What to expect:

Learn how we're deepening our focus on innovation and expanding unique opportunities for students and educators in Charlotte-Mecklenburg Schools. With student features, educator highlights, and insights from CMS and community leaders, this special experience will bring together “schoolanthropists” from all walks of life to celebrate and support the students and educators in Charlotte-Mecklenburg Schools.
