SUBMISSION FORM

The Annual Invitational is a national competitive exhibition that has been hosted by the Fort Smith Regional Art Museum since its inception in 1948. The purpose of this exhibition is to encourage and recognize professional artists. In addition, this exhibition aligns with the museum’s mission to foster art appreciation in the community. All works will be for sale. All proceeds will benefit RAM’s exhibits, educational programing, and the participating artists.

Theme: Common Ground

Now more than ever, our world needs a unifying symbol. This year’s RAM Annual Invitational theme focuses on artworks that build connections across boundaries, whether geographical or cultural. We invite you to join RAM as we champion Art as a unifying force in our region by taking part in this year’s RAM Annual Invitational Our Common Ground.

***Please email casey@fsram.org to submit photos, artwork details, statement and resume. Up to four (4) artworks may be submitted, and no more than 12 clearly labeled.

SUBMISSIONS DETAILS:

• Contact information: email, phone number and city of residence.
• Entry fee per artist: $20 for Members or $25 for Non-Members can be paid by check or you can through the online portal.
• Up to four (4) pieces may be submitted, and no more than 12 clearly labeled high resolution CD images, slides or photographs will be accepted. 
• Artwork submitted must have been created within the past three (3) years.
• Submissions can be any media: painting, photography, fiber, sculpture, installation or video.
• If artwork will exceed 36” wide (including frame), pre-approval by the Gallery Manager will be required. Thank you.
• Details for each work: title, year, media and dimensions (H x W x D). 
• Each piece must be for sale. Please tell us how much you require for each piece.
• Artist resume including list of solo and group exhibitions.
• Artist statement of why your piece represents Our Common Ground.
• Mailed paper and flashdrive submissions will not be returned.
• Any artwork left at RAM after the pickup deadline of Friday, November 13, 2026, will be considered forfeited.

• DEADLINE FOR SUBMISSIONS: Friday, April 24, 2026
• ACCEPTED ENTRIES ANNOUNCED: Friday, May 15, 2026
• ARTWORK DELIVERY DATES: Tuesday, May 26 - Friday, June 12, 2026
• EXHIBITION DATES: Saturday, June 27 – October 25, 2026
• WINNERS ANNOUNCED: Friday, June 26, at the Invitational Opening Reception, 5-7PM
• ARTWORK PICK UP DATES: Wednesday, October 28 – Friday - November 13, 2026
