About This Event
Gather among the graves for FrankenWines, a truly terrifying storytelling event co-presented by Young Friends of the Kansas City Public Library and Union Cemetery Historical Society of Kansas City. A few weeks before All Hallows’ Eve, we convene in the dark of night at the historic Union Cemetery. Kansas City’s oldest public cemetery is the final resting place of 55,000 souls, including many of the city’s founders, as well as notable politicians, artists, entrepreneurs, veterans, and everyday residents.
This year’s selected stories embody the spirit of the unknown, so take care to keep your wits about you. We'll be surrounded by the spine-chilling, the suspenseful, the creepy, the cryptic. What you can't see can frighten you the most.
Each $20 ticket includes a sweet treat, as well as boozy and non-alcoholic libations. All attendees must be at least 21 years old. The gate opens at 5:30 PM.
Seating is offered in a designated grassy area on a first-come, first-served basis. Bring your own blankets and chairs.
