Harvest Moon Hike

About This Event

Harvest Moon Hike at Bonney Point 🌕🌲✨

Saturday, September 26, 2026

Join Rangeley Lakes Heritage Trust (RLHT) for a hike under the Harvest Moon at the Bonney Point Conservation Area.

As dusk settles over the forest, we’ll explore this special landscape together — listening for nocturnal wildlife, enjoying the quiet beauty of a September evening, and experiencing RLHT's trails in a whole new way. The 7 p.m. hike will feature a lantern-lit path—follow this to a fire pit for s'mores and hot cider.

📅 Saturday, September 26
🕢 Hikes at two time slots: 2 p.m. and 7 p.m.
📍 Bonney Point Conservation Area parking lot on the left on Bonney Point Road - Google Maps

Difficulty: Easy. The Bonney Point Trail is an easy one-mile loop; a short side trail leads to Smith Cove on Rangeley Lake.

Please bring:
🔦 Headlamp or flashlight
🥾 Seasonably warm clothing
💧 Water bottle

---

RLHT acquired Bonney Point Conservation Area in 2000 from the Flint Family. These 280 acres contain a myriad of forested stands, wildlife habitat, water access, and non-motorized recreational trails. This parcel is one of RLHT’s “working forests,” depicting an example of how responsible forest management benefits wildlife and people while providing an income from forest products.
