Unlike traditional public schools, Peak to Peak operates with a funding gap of approximately $1,000 per student. During the founding years, it was necessary to incur debt to finance the construction of our original set of campus buildings resulting in an approximate 1.4 million dollar payment out of our operating budget each year. As a tuition-free public charter school, we depend on donations from our community through the Peak Annual Fund drive to help fill our funding gap each year. Our goal is to achieve 100% participation. We want every Peak to Peak family to know that their participation and contribution makes a difference.
Please visit our Frequently Asked Questions below for a full understanding of the Peak Annual Fund and fundraising at Peak to Peak. In this section, you can learn more about how we reach our fundraising goals each year - and why we depend on parent/guardian participation to help remain financially strong. While we depend on fundraised dollars, what we value most is participation. Contributions can be made as a lump sum donation or set up as monthly support, whatever is most convenient for you.
One hundred percent of your contribution to the 25-26 Peak Annual Fund directly supports supplementing our funding gap. Your contribution helps provide the resources needed to inspire students to develop their creative passions and athletic talents, to fulfill their academic dreams for college, and to become active and responsible citizens of an interdependent world.
All gifts to the Peak Annual Fund are 100% tax deductible through Friends of Peak to Peak, tax ID #84-1562332. Our 1,445 students and their teachers are tremendously grateful for your generous support.

Powered by Participation:
At Peak to Peak we celebrate diversity in all its forms – diverse backgrounds, talents, and dreams. This diversity extends to our financial capabilities as well. We understand that each family's financial situation is unique, and we believe that every family should have the opportunity to make a meaningful contribution to our school. No matter the amount, every donation counts, and it's what brings us closer to achieving 100% participation.
We are proud to offer various avenues for our school community to contribute. From modest donations of $15 to more substantial gifts of $15,000+ and everything in between, we value and appreciate each one. It's essential to remember that our school's strength lies not only in the depth of pockets but also in the depth of commitment from our families.
Reaching 100% participation is a goal we are striving for this year. It's not about the dollar amount, it's about the unity of purpose. When every family contributes at a level that is significant and meaningful to them, it sends a powerful message of support. This collective effort demonstrates our shared dedication to our school's mission and the success of our students.
We understand that there are various ways to give, and we want to make it as easy as possible for everyone. You can choose to make a one-time donation, set up monthly contributions, or even volunteer your time and skills to the school. Every form of contribution, whether financial or in-kind, helps us reach our goal.
This year, we invite every family to join us in making our school a place where everyone's unique contributions are celebrated. Be a part of our diverse community, where every gift, regardless of its size, is appreciated and makes a positive impact on our students' education.
Let this be the year that achieves 100% participation, not just in dollars but in the spirit of unity and commitment. Every gift matters, and together, we can make a significant difference in the lives of our students.
Join us in celebrating the richness of our community and the power of collective support. Every donation counts, no matter the amount, and together, we can continue the Peak to Peak community's legacy of giving.

As a donation-dependent public charter school, we encourage our families to learn about Peak to Peak’s unique financial model. Please visit our Financial Transparency page for detailed information about our school’s funding. Every donation to Peak to Peak, regardless of the amount, is incredibly valued and appreciated. Because of this, we encourage families to learn about our financial model to ensure our donors feel their contributions are wisely invested. Each year, the school spends approximately 1.4 million dollars to pay down the debt we owe for our campus buildings. This money comes directly out of our operating budget, and amounts to approximately $1,000 per student. Money that would normally be spent on staff salaries, curricular resources, and student-centered programs is diverted to pay for our buildings. Each year we work to fill this funding gap, replacing the loss to our budget through fundraising, fiscal responsibility, and by doing more, with less. We support our incredible teachers and staff who strive to provide an exemplary service to our students with fewer resources available than traditional neighboring public schools. Peak to Peak will continue to have this 1.4 million dollar annual expense for another 11 years, or until the debt is paid off.
Your financial investment in Peak to Peak will not only help us meet our goal, but it is also extremely important to keep our community strong. We recognize and deeply appreciate our families come from very diverse economic backgrounds, we prioritize participation and encourage contributions at a dollar amount that is meaningful to you.
* Local taxes pay for bond money to purchase or build traditional neighborhood schools. Peak to Peak did not receive any of these local resources when constructing the original campus buildings and therefore had to incur debt to open the school.
The Peak to Peak Annual Fund Drive has been a fundraising tradition for 20+ years...
Closing note: Peak to Peak has remained strong for over 25 years thanks to the many contributions of parents, guardians, and community supporters. Your support ensures continued strength and a legacy of giving.
