Turning Over a New Leaf is our annual Farm to Table Gala, where we gather around the table to celebrate another year of growing food, growing relationships, and growing opportunities for Chicago students and communities.
Set at Homan Rails Farm, one of our largest growing sites at just one tenth of an acre, this evening invites you to experience the place where so much of our work comes to life. Throughout the year, our Gardeneers team maintains the farm and grows food that connects directly to our programming. For this special evening, we will bring the harvest to the table, incorporating ingredients grown at Homan Rails Farm into a selection of seasonal hot hors d'oeuvres.
Enjoy an evening of seasonal bites, an open bar, and the unique experience of gathering on the farm where so much of our work takes root. As we gather during the fall harvest, we will reflect on Gardeneers’ 2026 accomplishments, share the stories behind our work, and celebrate the students, educators, partners, and community members who help make it possible.
But this evening is about more than food and drinks.
Every ticket purchased provides programming for one student for an entire year. That means your decision to join us is already an act of giving back. Before you even take your seat at the table, you are helping a young person learn, grow, and build a deeper connection to food, nature, and their community.
As one season comes to a close, another begins. We are celebrating what we have harvested while looking ahead to what comes next. Turning Over a New Leaf represents that moment of change: honoring the roots that have brought us here, celebrating what has grown, and making room for something new.
