About This Event
Join us on Sunday, October 18 at the Bug Theatre for an evening that celebrates the art of belonging. This year's theme is HOME — a place, a person, a community, a memory, a feeling, a language, a body, a dream, however you define it. Storytellers, poets, and musicians from our community will take the stage to share original works exploring home in ways that are personal, joyful, complicated, and unexpected. Doors open at 2:30pm and the event starts at 3:00pm.
Expect laughter, goosebumps, maybe even a few tears as voices rise and resonate in ways only live storytelling can. Whether you're on stage or in the audience, this is your chance to experience the magic of connection—raw, real, and unforgettable.
Bring your friends, bring your curiosity, and come be part of a night where every story matters. (Note: This event is for 18+)
Want to perform? We're looking for storytellers, poets, musicians, and performers of all kinds — staff, clients, and community members alike — to share original work (5 minutes or under) on the theme of home. Group performances are welcome. New performers are encouraged — many past performers said the Gather audience was one of the warmest and most supportive they'd ever had.
Submit your idea here → https://forms.gle/gSoARQcTcVQ3p9Ng7 by Sunday, September 20. You'll be asked to attach a Word doc, PDF, video, or recording of your submission (or describe it on the form if you're not able to attach a file). Selected performers will hear back no later than Friday, October 3. Questions? Reach out to development@thedeloresproject.org.
Why Equitable Ticket Pricing? At The Delores Project, belonging is at the heart of everything we do. We believe everyone deserves a seat at the table, regardless of financial circumstance. Equitable ticket pricing helps remove barriers so our community can show up fully—because belonging can't wait.
Every Gather ticket includes the same access to an evening of storytelling, connection, and community. What you pay is simply what feels right for you.
- $15 – Base Price: For those who want to attend and cover the cost of their participation.
- $25 – Supporter Price: For those with the means to help make the event accessible for others.
Your presence—no matter which option you choose—strengthens our shared work of building belonging for those experiencing homelessness.
