Heirloom Nutrition: Fiber Up!

About This Event

Heirloom Nutrition is a community-focused workshop about well-being and nutrition, designed to empower people to make informed choices that support lifelong wellness. We will learn about the role of fiber in our diets and make a high-fiber taco to enjoy together. This workshop is appropriate for ages 6 and up. All participants should wear clothes comfortable for cooking and closed-toed shoes.

Instructor Bio: My name is Jaela McDonald, and I graduated from the University of Alabama at Birmingham with a bachelor's degree in Biobehavioral Nutrition and Wellness. I enjoy making nutrition approachable by empowering others to make informed decisions that support their overall well-being. Outside of work, I love experimenting with new recipes to explore different cultures through food and spending time with loved ones.
