Massachusetts Commission on LGBTQ Youth
The Massachusetts Commission on LGBTQ Youth, still the only state commission of its kind in the country, was founded in 1994. Through our research, advocacy, and educational programs, we have contributed to positive change on the state level, within school districts, and in the lives of many young people and their families. The Commission is established by law as an independent agency of the Commonwealth to recommend and advocate to all branches of state government effective policies, programs, and resources for LGBTQ youth to thrive.
