The Charitable Foundation of the Islands Board of Directors Presents
The Generosity Breakfast
Spirit of Generosity Co-Chairs Sam Boren and Steve King
Celebrate National Philanthropy Day with our island communities at the Generosity Breakfast 2026.
Join us for CFI’s annual celebration of generosity, featuring keynote speaker Lynne Wester, the 2026 Generosity Champion Awards, inspiring stories of impact from our 2026 Community Impact Fund grantees, and an invitation to help shape the future of Sanibel and Captiva by sharing emerging community needs and investing in solutions through the Community Impact Fund.
KEYNOTE
You Matter More Than You Know: One Person, One Community
It’s easy to feel like a single act of kindness doesn’t add up to much in a world that keeps score in millions. This morning, Lynne Wester makes the case that it always has.
A community isn’t built by the few—it’s built one person, one gesture, one moment of caring at a time. And every single one of those moments counts more than the person giving it usually realizes.
Through stories of quiet generosity that changed everything for someone, somewhere, Lynne invites each of us to see our own place in that story—and the impact we can have on the community around us.
You are not too small to matter. You never were.
