GOOD GRIEF CONVERSATIONS

Join Good Grief and Chapter One for the first Good Grief Conversations, a new bookstore event series exploring grief through books, authors, and community conversation.

For our first conversation, authors Kelly Cervantes and David Ferrugio come together to talk about personal grief, storytelling, and what can happen when we make space for honest conversations about loss.

Kelly is an award-winning writer, speaker, and advocate whose work includes the USA Today bestselling books Normal Broken and The Luckiest. David is the host of the acclaimed DEAD Talks Podcast, where his own experience following the death of his father on 9/11 has led to hundreds of conversations about grief, identity, meaning, death, and what it means to live fully.

Together, Kelly and David will share from their own experiences and work, followed by conversation with the audience.

Wednesday, October 28 | 6:00–8:00 PM
Chapter One | 84 E. Main St, Mendham, NJ 07945

This event is free and open to the community, but space is limited and advance registration is required. Books will be available for purchase from Chapter One during the event.

DAVID FERRUGIO, host of the acclaimed DEAD Talks Podcast with over 1 million followers, transforms his personal tragedy into a powerful exploration of life's most difficult moments. After losing his father in the World Trade Center on 9/11 when he was just twelve years old, Ferrugio has spent decades channeling his grief into meaningful conversations with celebrities, experts, and everyday people about death, spirituality, and the afterlife.

Ferrugio is a podcast host, speaker, and author exploring one of humanity’s most universal yet avoided experiences: death. His father’s loss propelled him into a lifelong pursuit to understand grief, identity, and meaning—work that has led to hundreds of deeply personal conversations through DEAD Talks. Known for asking the questions most people avoid, he brings together perspectives from philosophy, spirituality, psychology, and lived experience to help others navigate loss and uncertainty. His work is grounded in a simple belief: when we face death openly, we learn how to live more fully.
