Show off your artistic talent and make your mark at Good in the Hood! We’re excited to announce our T-Shirt Design Contest, where your creativity could be featured on the official event t-shirts. This is your chance to create a unique design that will represent the spirit and energy of the festival, seen by thousands of attendees. Whether you're an aspiring designer, an art lover, or just looking for a fun way to contribute, we want to see your vision come to life. Submit your design for a chance to have it printed on the official festival t-shirt and receive special recognition at the event!
**Please note: You can submit designs for either adult t-shirts or youth t-shirts.
Rules and Guidelines:
Eligibility:
- Open to artists of any age!
- Must be a resident of Portland, OR, or nearby area.
- Designs should capture the essence of Good in the Hood, whether by incorporating our logo, reflecting our theme "Back in Stride Again," or highlighting our community spirit and involvement.
- All applicants must submit a completed application form and upload their design by March 15, 2025.
- Maximum three (3) entries per person considering both adult and youth designs (3 total).
How to Submit Your Artwork:
- On the application you will find a link to a Google drive - you can either upload the file to the Google drive, or email the file to hello@goodnthehood.org - all submissions must come with a completed application.
- Artwork must be family-friendly—no offensive language or content.
Selection Process:
- A panel of judges will select the Top 5 finalists, and the community will vote to narrow them down to the winner.
- Voting will be held from March 16, 2025 - April 15, 2025.
- Finalists will be notified by May 1, 2025.
General Rules:
- By submitting their designs, contestants grant Good in the Hood the right to use their artwork for promotional purposes, and ownership of the artwork will be transferred to Good in the Hood.
Prizes:
- One design will win in the Adult T-Shirt category and one design will win in the Youth T-Shirt category. The winning designs will be featured as the official t-shirts of Good in the Hood 2025, and the designer will receive a complimentary t-shirt featuring their design.
