We’re looking for performers from Portland, OR, and surrounding areas, to compete for amazing prizes and the chance to perform live at the Good in the Hood Festival! Eligibility:
We have decided to open our applications to all ages!
Must be a resident of Portland, OR, or nearby area.
Performances can include singing, dancing, instruments, poetry, or other talents.
Group performances are allowed
All applicants must submit a completed application form. For groups, only one application is required, but the application must list all members.
How to Submit Your Video:
Submit a video of your performance (max 3 minutes) by April 20, 2025.
Videos must be family-friendly—no offensive language or content.
Upload your video to Youtube as unlisted (unless you prefer it to be public) and add it to your application or email it directly to hello@goodnthehood.org
Selection Process:
A panel of judges will select the Top 10 finalists, and the community will vote to narrow them down to the top 3.
Voting will be held from April 20, 2025 - April 30, 2025.
Finalists will be notified by May 1, 2025 and invited to perform live at the Good in the Hood Festival.
Final Performance:
The Top 3 finalists from each age group will perform live at the Good in the Hood Festival on June 28-29, 2025.
Performances should not exceed 5 minutes.
A panel of judges at the festival will select the final winner.
General Rules:
All performances must be family-friendly.
By submitting, contestants agree to the use of their videos for promotional purposes.
Contestants are responsible for their own transportation to and from the event.
Prizes:
Top 3 winners will receive cash prizes and a spot to perform their talent at Good in the Hood 2025!
