The 2025 Good Apple Award Reception

On Thursday, November 13, 2025, from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m., MA Appleseed will hold its annual Good Apple Award Reception at the innovative Winthrop Center in downtown Boston. This year’s event will honor James Parker, SVP and General Counsel of the Boston Celtics, with the 2025 Good Apple Award for his excellence in legal leadership and commitment to public service.

MA Appleseed will also present two inaugural awards:

• Pro Bono Honoree:  Ropes & Gray
• Community Leadership Honoree:  Ursula Furi-Perry

The Good Apple Awards are presented to members of the Massachusetts legal or business community who exemplify MA Appleseed's commitment to public service, fairness, and social justice. These three awardees remind us of the important role the legal community has in creating profound and positive change.

Funds raised from this event fuel MA Appleseed’s initiatives to dismantle discriminatory policies affecting students of color, strengthen legal protections for youth experiencing homelessness, safeguard the language access rights of immigrant families, and advocate for fair treatment in the courts.
