Registration ends Wednesday, 04/05/2023 5:00pm EDT

About This Event

Celebrate the good with us!

On Wednesday, April 12, 2023, MA Appleseed will host its Good Apple Award Reception. We are pleased to announce that this year's recipient of the Good Apple Award is Elaine Weddington Steward, Vice President/Club Counsel at the Boston Red Sox.

The Good Apple Award is presented to one member of the Massachusetts legal or business community who exemplifies MA Appleseed's commitment to public service, fairness, and social justice. Elaine has been a trailblazer throughout her historic career and is a civic leader, a mentor to many, and a champion of diversity and inclusion.

Join us on April 12, 2023!

The Good Apple Award Reception provides core funding for MA Appleseed’s work throughout the year. In the wake of the pandemic, we've seen inequities that have long existed sharpen and devastate entire communities, while calls for serious systemic reform gain momentum. MA Appleseed has risen to meet this moment across multiple fronts – fighting to eradicate the discriminatory policies that push students of color towards incarceration, strengthening the legal safety net for young people experiencing homelessness, protecting the civil rights of our immigrant neighbors, and demanding fair and equitable access to the courts.

Help us reach our $300,000 goal by sponsoring this event or making a personal donation!

If you have any questions, please reach out to Madeline, Director of Development and Communications, at madeline@massappleseed.org.
