The Good Guy Invitational has a long tradition of bringing great people together for a truly memorable day of golf, with the goal of raising money for specific projects that make a tangible difference in the fight against cancer. This year, Golf Fights Cancer is collaborating with two event beneficiaries that are making a profound impact in the cancer community:
Center for Neuro-Oncology at Dana-Farber Cancer Institute: Proceeds will be directed to The CRUS11TOUR Fund in memory of David H. Hovey, III for Glioblastoma research led by Dr. David Reardon. Diagnosed with Glioblastoma in 2015, Davey passed away less than two years later at the age of 26. Throughout his treatment process, Davey inspired and rallied everyone around him in his commitment to increase awareness and to help find a cure.
Cape Wellness Collaborative: Funding for the Wellness Eats Program, providing six weeks of delicious, nutrient-dense, ready-to-eat meals free of cost to cancer patients and their caretakers living and receiving treatment on Cape Cod.
