Goodwill Amity is bringing you the Power of Work Awards Lunch! Be part of this exciting signature fundraising event which celebrates the unique power work has in enabling people and our communities to work better.
Over a three-course meal you’ll help us honour two Goodwill Amity participants who have overcome personal adversity and employment barriers to find success through work. We will also be honouring one local Employer who has provided outstanding support and opportunities for job seekers in our Region.
Following lunch, hear from award-winning journalist, author and professor Mark Bulgutch, as he shares stories and insight into how work plays a uniquely important role in defining and connecting us as Canadians.

Meet Lohifa Pogoon-Acker: Hair artist, entrepreneur, community builder and our lunch Emcee
Meet Mark Bulgutch: An accomplished journalist, educator, and speaker having worked for CBC for 40 years in Senior Editor and Producer roles and taught at Toronto Metropolitan University for 35 years. He has received fourteen Gemini Awards, four RTDNA Awards, the Canadian Journalism Foundation Award of Excellence, and the Canadian Association of Broadcasters Gold Ribbon Award.
