The Latin American Community Center (LACC) has been holding its Annual Gala since 1969. This formal/black tie optional event is the culmination of agency Hispanic Heritage Month activities and is the LACC's largest fundraising event. During the Gala the agency celebrates its accomplishments and recognizes community leaders and partners that have made significant contributions to LACC and Delaware's Latino community. All proceeds benefit LACC lifelong learning programs which serve children ages 6 weeks to 18 years old. This includes our 3 Early Learning Centers, Before and After School Community Learning Centers, Summer Camp, the Youth Achievement Center, High School Credit Recovery, and the Minerva Marrero Hispanic Scholarship Program.
This year at the Grand Ball we will be celebrating the impact of Latinos on the US. The event will take place on Saturday, October 3rd from 6pm to 12am at Deerfield Golf Club. The event will include cocktail hour with open bar, a plated dinner, an award ceremony, and dancing.
