Autumn in Kyoto

About This Event

Autumn in Kyoto presented by Sharee Solow

November 14

10:30am

Prepare to be transported. Subtlety is essential in garden design, but that does not mean there is never any color. One must wait for the moment and be there to experience it using all the senses. So rent your kimono, charge the camera battery, and sip some green tea as Sharee shares this progression to the peak of the world-famous autumnal spectacle in Kyoto.

One of the Mid-Atlantic regions' most respected certified horticulturist and landscape designer, Sharee Solow, blends a lifetime of accomplishments and international travel to offer uniquely sophisticated landscape designs and garden design lectures. Through a design/build seminar in Atami, Japan, she earned certificates in Japanese garden design history, construction, and maintenance. A popular speaker and writer for professional landscape organizations, garden societies and arboretums. Her personal garden has been featured on regional and national tours and appeared on the cover of Grow magazine among others. Sharee spent years as the editor for the DelVal Rock Garden Society and is a Vice Chair of Plant Experts for the Philadelphia Flower Show.
