Have you ever been curious about how guide dogs are trained to safely navigate their handlers in different situations? Well this is your opportunity to learn about the critical training that goes into making these wonderful pups a hard working dog. At our “Get to Know Some Guide Dogs” event we will explain the extensive training that each dog navigages, teach you the proper etiquette when you see a working team, and educated you on how the Lighthouse supports our employees with guide dogs. Plus, you’ll have theopportunity to meet a few of the guide dogs we have working at the Lighthouse! Join us Wednesday, July 15th from 12:00 p.m. – 1:15 p.m. to meet some furry friends and enjoy some pizza! Please join us, bring a family member, kids, friend, co-worker or neighbor – more the merrier! Please RSVP by Friday, July 10th.
