Thousands of Alexandria residents and visitors will line the streets of Old Town Alexandria on Saturday, February 13, 2027 to cheer on the oldest and largest George Washington Birthday parade in the country.  

The 2027 Parade theme is My Brave Fellows: Honoring Washington’s Army, which honors the endurance and sacrifices of the Continental Army during one of its most trying years, 250 years ago.  The 2027 Grand Marshal is the First Virginia Regiment of the Continental Line, which portrays Continental Army troops from Virginia from 1775 to 1783.. 

The parade regularly features over 1,200 participants, including drum corps, color guards, bands, city and community dignitaries, community and fraternal organizations, youth groups and, of course, General Washington and Martha Washington.  It has drawn as many as 80,000 spectators in good weather. The Hunt for Washington $400

A fun and challenging game to uncover clues about Alexandria and George Washington!  The Hunt takes individuals and families to traverse the heart of Old Town and then use their sleuthing skills to find answers to the clues. Participants may submit their completed Clue Sheets to be entered into a prize drawing.
