Col. Howard D. Barnard III dedicated his life to serving others.

After 28 years of military service, he continued his commitment to community through nine years on the Habitat for Humanity Board of Directors, including two years as president.

His work with Habitat and his involvement in the Burgess community reflected his commitment to creating opportunities for others.
