Presented by All Brains Belong VT

Practical Strategies for Delivering Neuroinclusive Healthcare (Recorded webinar for on-demand viewing)

About This Event

Neuroinclusive healthcare doesn't need to be that hard.

This webinar was presented on 6/11/24 by physician, Mel Houser, M.D.,  Founder and Executive Director of All Brains Belong VT, who provides medical care to neurodivergent people through the lifespan.

Practical Strategies for Delivering Neuroinclusive Healthcare Across the Lifespan

Audience:

  • Clinicians
  • Health professions students
  • Neurodivergent people
  • Families & friends of neurodivergent people
  • Anyone who cares about neurodivergent people

Neurodivergent people often struggle to access healthcare, have high rates of untreated chronic health conditions, and negative healthcare experiences.

It doesn't need to be this way.

During this webinar, we will cover practical strategies for how to improve access to healthcare that can be delivered in any healthcare settings, right away.

Participants will leave with concrete ideas for adapting environments, supporting sensory processing, executive functioning, and communication to be more inclusive of neurodivergent patients (and everyone else who learns, thinks, or communicates differently from one’s self).

Access to the recorded webinar is available by donation. All donations are tax-deductible will support All Brains Belong's neuroinclusive community programs for kids and adults.

Many thanks to support from the Organization on Autism Research (OAR) and by the Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA) of the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) under the Autism Intervention Research Network on Physical Health (AIR‐P) grant. Click here for additional information about this sponsorship.
