Universal Design for Healthcare, Workplaces, and Community Gatherings Webinar

About This Event

Universal Design for Healthcare, Workplaces, and Community Gatherings Webinar

This webinar will be presented on 10/13/26 6-7 PM ET by physician, Mel Houser, M.D., Founder and Executive Director of All Brains Belong VT, who provides medical care to neurodivergent people through the lifespan.

All Brains Belong has created a set of free educational resources for the public to support universal design for healthcare, community gatherings, and employment.

We all have different things we need to participate comfortably. These tools help both leaders and participants learn what those things are. They are for everyone, not just people who have asked for accommodations.

Universal design means offering everything in multiple different ways. Then people can choose what works best for them. When everyone is offered many ways to participate, no one has to single themselves out. People feel more comfortable talking about what they need. Our new Universal Design for Neuroinclusive Participation toolkit provides practical strategies for making this happen.

This webinar provides ideas for using this toolkit in everyday life — in healthcare, in workplaces, and community settings.

Audience:

  • Clinicians
  • Health professions students
  • Community leaders
  • Employers
  • Employees

Access to the webinar is available by donation. Suggested donation is $25.  All donations are tax-deductible will support All Brains Belong's neuroinclusive community programs for kids and adults.

Many thanks to the Organization for Autism Research (OAR) and by the Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA) of the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) under the Autism Intervention Research Network on Physical Health (AIR‐P) grant, which supported the community needs assessment that formed the basis for this webinar. Click here for additional information about this sponsorship.
