Homebuyer Education classes are conducted by a HUD-Certified Housing Counselor who will help you navigate the complex home buying process and make the best choices for your household. You will learn about qualifying for a mortgage, selecting the property that’s right for you and negotiating the sale, home inspections, insurance, property taxes, credit scores, interest rates, budgeting, home maintenance, the many details from contract to settlement, and much more. We’ll also provide an orientation to CPAH’s forgivable grant programs (first time homebuyers who earn less than 80% of the area median income may receive up to 5% in down payment assistance).  

IMPORTANT NOTES:

  • The registration fee is NON-REFUNDABLE.
  • Your Transaction ID number is your confirmation. Please bring your Transaction ID number with you to the class as proof of registration.
  • Registration fees are per household; you can register up to two members of the same household for one $50 fee. However, both household members must be registered to ensure space is available.
  • Due to space limitations, unregistered persons may be asked to leave.
  • Those arriving more than 15 minutes late will not receive a Certificate of Completion. This certificate is required by some mortgage lenders in order to obtain a loan. It is also required to receive down payment assistance through CPAH.
  • If you are unable to attend, please contact CPAH as soon as possible so another person can take advantage of the class.

Las clases de educación para compradores de vivienda son conducidas por una asesora de vivienda certificada por HUD que le ayudará a navegar el complejo proceso de compra de casa y tomar las mejores decisiones para su hogar. Aprenderá a calificar para una hipoteca, cómo seleccionar la propiedad adecuada para usted, el proceso de inspección, crédito y mucho más. También proporcionaremos una orientación a los programas de subsidios de CPAH (Compradores de casa por primera vez que ganan menos del 80% del ingreso medio del área pueden recibir hasta 5% en asistencia para el enganche y gastos de cierre).

NOTAS IMPORTANTES:

• La tarifa de registración NO ES REEMBOLSABLE.
• Su número de la transacción es su confirmación. Por favor traiga ese número a la clase como prueba de registro.
