Help us keep families together in times of medical crisis.

Are you the kind of person who keeps their promises?

Bev is. When her husband lay in a coma, she whispered to him, “I’m not going anywhere.” Please help people like Bev keep their vows this holiday season.

Earlier that day, Bev had been at  work when she overheard a customer talking about a crash on the main road of their northern Michigan town. A car had plowed into a deer hunter driving a side-by-side!

Bev didn’t learn for another two hours that the hunter was her husband. He’d been airlifted to Saginaw, so Bev drove 90 minutes on icy roads to be by his bedside in the ICU. The amount of bruising on his face and body was shocking.

If he woke up, doctors said his recovery would take months! At first, Bev was able to stay in a family comfort room at the hospital. But she wasn’t sleeping or eating well, so the nurses urged her to call Hospital Hospitality House of Saginaw. Bev refused.

After a week, another family needed the comfort room, and Bev was forced to consider her options. She couldn’t afford a hotel for months. And commuting from their home was costly and risky on winter roads.

More people than ever need the affordable and comfortable lodging we provide.

In fact, we supplied over 1,400 more nights of rest to patients and their families this fiscal year compared to last year!

Why is there more need?

One reason is that more rural hospitals and clinics are cutting services ... sending people farther from home for care. Then there’s the high cost of hotels, food, and gas.

Will you help folks like Bev by making a tax-deductible gift today?

  • $125 serves a hot dinner to our whole house
  • $280 sponsors all guests at Emerson House for one night
  • $1,200 sponsors one room for an entire month

When Bev came to our Emerson House, she was given a much-needed chance to rest, eat home-cooked meals, and unwind in a quiet, home-like setting just steps away from her husband.

You may never know the names of all the people your gift will help, but they’ll always remember your kindness.

Thank you for changing so many lives,
