About This Event
Explore the powerful intersection of visual art and poetic expression in this immersive, music-infused workshop. Designed for writers, artists, and anyone with a creative spark, this experience invites you to connect with your inner poet through hands-on artmaking and reflective storytelling. Beyond creativity, this workshop highlights the healing power of art. Engaging in artistic expression can reduce stress, support brain function, regulate heart rate, and strengthen the immune system. Creating in community fosters meaningful connection, reduces social isolation, and encourages empathy, communication, and new perspectives.
Come create, reflect, and share in a space where art and words come alive.
Meet Your Facilitator: Brittany Nash
Brittany Nash is a marketing strategist and photographer by profession, but she is an artist at her core. As a Black woman, Brittany’s work reflects her deep interest in how we appear in the world and how we express ourselves. Through her artistic practice, she aims to create work that encourages others to explore their own expression and passion.
Her journey into poetry began with the discovery of words as tools to paint vivid imagery. Through her love of reading, she learned that words can powerfully narrate emotions, perspectives, and the world around us.
Brittany aims to create work encouraging others to explore their own expression and passion. Through poetry, she finds the cadence of her voice and the surety in her thoughts, allowing her to connect more deeply with herself and others. Whether through the lens of a camera or the rhythm of a poem, or bringing a sketch to life with paint, her work is a celebration of self-expression, cultural identity, and the transformative power of art.
