Blurring the Binaries

About This Event

Blurring the Binaries

Please join the Institute for Inclusion in the Legal Profession (IILP) as we celebrate Pride Month.  Our webinar, Blurring the Binaries, brings together a panel of transgender, nonbinary, and gender nonconforming legal professionals from diverse legal, cultural, and personal backgrounds to foster understanding, dialogue, and inclusion. The discussion will explore a range of gender nonconforming identities, what those identities mean to each panelist, and how gender diversity shapes their lived and professional experiences. Panelists will share insights into the challenges facing the gender nonconforming community and the unique obstacles they encounter as attorneys navigating workplaces that may not always be familiar with or equipped to support these identities. By highlighting perspectives that are often underrepresented, this conversation underscores the importance of learning about lesser-known gender identities during Pride Month and demonstrates how greater awareness can help build more respectful, equitable, and inclusive professional environments.
