This holiday season, too many Lansing families are facing empty tables and impossible choices. With recent reductions and delays in SNAP benefits, parents across our community are stretching every dollar — often at the expense of nutritious meals and shared family traditions. At the Boys & Girls Club of Lansing, we see this hardship firsthand. When a child tells us they skipped dinner so their younger sibling could eat, or that they’re nervous they won’t have a holiday meal to look forward to, we feel compelled to act.
We’re launching Full Plates, Full Futures to make sure every Club family can gather around a full table this season. Your support will help us provide grocery baskets filled with everything needed for a warm, dignified holiday meal — fresh produce, pantry staples, and traditional holiday favorites.
A gift today gives more than food. It gives comfort. It gives belonging. It gives kids the assurance that their community sees them, values them, and believes every family deserves to celebrate together.
