The theme of this year’s Maryland Catholic Women's Conference is “Holy Women, Holy Lives,” which will focus on learning about the holy women we can look to for inspiration while examining how we can live holy lives as women in the modern world.

Saturday November 11, 9AM to 5PM

5:30PM concluding Mass with Bishop Bruce Lewandowski

The conference is designed for women desiring to learn about their faith at any age or stage of life.

Confirmed Speakers:

Kristy Maik

Kristy Malik is a writer and speaker who would love to share her heart with women of any age at your conference or event. Speaking on topics from healing and hope to evangelizing outside church walls, Kristy will provide engaging, authentic, Catholic content to help make your next event a success.

Kristy is a cradle Catholic who experienced a conversion of heart once encountering Walking with Purpose in 2011. She jumped in with both feet, starting a WWP program at her parish and then becoming a regional area coordinator a few years later. She is now a blogger and content creator for the ministry. You may have seen her leading live Bible studies on Instagram and Facebook or on the YouTube series "Truth with Handles: The Conversation." She has spoken at various parishes in the Washington, DC, area where she lives, and she was featured on the Embrace: Catholic Moms Conference in 2021.

She and her husband live in the country with their five children, ages preschool to high school. Her hope is that every woman can experience God's healing love and redemption—and fully embrace the amazing plan He has for your lif

Meg Hunter-Kilmer

Meg Hunter-Kilmer is an itinerant missionary and storyteller who travels the world telling people about the fierce and tender love of God. She is a Fellow of the Sullivan Family Saints Initiative in the McGrath Institute for Church Life and the author of three books about Scripture and the Saints. When she’s not obsessively googling obscure Saints, trying to convince people to read Scripture, or driving appalling distances while listening to audiobooks on double speed, she loves watching the Olympics and spending time with her nieces, nephews, and godchildren.

Kimberly Begg

Kimberly Begg is a Catholic wife and mother of five children who is trying to cooperate with God’s grace to guide her family to Heaven. She is the author of Unbreakable: Saints Who Inspired Saints to Moral Courage (TAN Books) and articles exploring a range of topics, especially regarding Catholic education. An attorney with nearly 25 years of experience strengthening Catholic and conservative causes, she helped found Young America’s Foundation’s Standing Up for Faith and Freedom seminar—a program for students at Catholic schools—while serving as the Foundation’s vice president and general counsel. She serves on the board of overseers of the Dominican House of Studies, the board of directors of Young America’s Foundation, the board of advisors of the Clare Boothe Luce Center for Conservative Women, and the DC board of regents of Thomas Aquinas College. She is director of programs and general counsel of the Ortner Family Foundation and editor of Catholic School Playbook, an online resource for the renewal of Catholic education.

Bethany and Dan Meola

Dr. Daniel and Bethany Meola are the co-founders of Life-Giving Wounds, a national Catholic apostolate dedicated to giving voice to the pain of adult children of divorce and helping them find lasting healing in Christ. Both Dan and Bethany graduated from the Pontifical John Paul II Institute for Studies on Marriage and the Family (Dan, MTS and PhD; Bethany, MTS) and they have served the Church in various capacities for over a decade. The Meolas live in Bowie, MD with their two daughters, Zelie-Louise (6) and Grace (3), and they are members of St. Edward the Confessor parish.

Maribeth Harper

Maribeth Harper celebrated paying her family’s last college tuition bill by writing a book for moms who have college-aged young adults entitled, And So We Pray.  Several years later she updated the book and honed it to help parents of freshmen navigate this critical first year of college with confidence. The book, released in March 2023 is entitled, A Spiritual Toolbox, Tips for Parenting Through the First Year of College. Maribeth blogs occasionally about parenting adult children at andsowepray.com. She is a certified spiritual director, wife, mother of four, and grandmother of ten and counting.
