🌟Impact Award will be presented to Metropolitan Culinary Services. MCS and owners Tammy & Steve Mora have been vital partners since 2021, profoundly impacting the families we serve. Their annual Thanksgiving meal distribution supports 100 individuals, bringing a sense of family and normalcy. Since 2022, MCS has donated 100 holiday meals annually for our Holiday Meal and Gift Distribution, supporting 80 households—about 450 individuals. Their dedication extends to our fundraising efforts, catering our Galas in 2021, 2023, and 2024 for over 450 guests annually. MCS's unwavering commitment embodies true community partnership, creating hope, joy, and stability. They are truly deserving of the IMPACT Award.
🌟Hands On, Hearts In Award will be presented to Joylene Wagner. Joylene Wagner exemplifies selfless service and has been a steadfast supporter of Home Again Los Angeles. As a member of Glendale First United Methodist Church, she has cooked and served meals for families in our shelter and volunteered as an overnight chaperone, ensuring their safety and comfort. In 2020, she played a vital role in HALA’s growth by facilitating the merger of Glendale Communitas and HALA. Her hands-on involvement, compassionate heart, and lasting impact make Joylene Wagner truly deserving of the Hands On, Hearts In Award, inspiring others to join in supporting families in need and strengthening HALA’s foundation.
