The Inn Crowd
Comedy for a Cause Benefit Fundraiser for Homes First
Come join the Inn Crowd for a night of joy and laughter — and help us make a real difference in our community!
Homes First is raising $3,500 to support their affordable housing program, and here's what your generosity will do: Homes First will be able to relocate one of their tenants from an upstairs unit into a more comfortable, accessible downstairs unit — and that move will open up a home for another neighbor in need of stable, affordable housing.
Funds raised will go directly toward materials to bring both units up to safe, healthy living standards.
Every dollar counts, every laugh helps.
Come celebrate with us and be part of the change!
Headliner - Sam Miller
Sam Miller is a nationally touring comedian from Olympia, Washington. He is 6 foot 6, 360 pounds, has two kids, (one of them is on purpose) he's been married for 15 years, and has been clean and sober for 17 years. Sam likes to make jokes about what it's like to be a sober parent. He also likes to make jokes about what jails like in Yakima. His first album and special, Round Trip, was recorded and filmed under the tutelage of Grammy-winning producer Dan Schlissel, whose indie label, Stand Up! Records, Sam had recently signed a three-album deal with. Round Trip was released October 27th 2023 and immediately went to number one on the iTunes Comedy Charts. It even broke into the top 200 overall charts. Sam is a recurring guest and has been heard by an estimated 2.5 million listeners on the nationally syndicated "Bob & Tom Radio Show." He has written for Newsweek. He was the runner-up in the 2021 Seattle International Comedy Competition and won the Comedy on Trial Competition in 2017. He has headlined multiple major comedy clubs including Sidesplitters in Tampa, Helium in Portland, and The Laugh Factory and Zanies in Chicago. He's also performed with the Addicts Comedy Tour and at NA and AA conventions all over the country. For three consecutive years, he won awards in "The Best of Olympia" issue of the Weekly Volcano.
Featuring - El Sanchez
El Sanchez is a queer/trans/non-binary comedian and writer that has been performing all over the country (and once in Canada) since 2010. With a conversationally cynical, yet upbeat, personal and political storytelling style, El has been called "a grumpy nugget of delight," by writer/activist Lindy West (Shrill) and "a brilliant new voice everyone should know," by comedian Hari Kondabolu (Netflix, HBO, Conan). Grammy Award-winning singer/song-writer Kimya Dawson has cited Sanchez as her 'favorite underground Northwest comedian' while W. Kamau Bell, Emmy Award-winning comedian and host of CNN's United Shades of America, once said, "El Sanchez is the truth." El has appeared on NBC, NPR, the Nerdist Network and has been interviewed by Allure and Teen Vogue. El was a contributing writer to the Shout Your Abortion book project in 2018 and has been the host of the Seattle branch of the Moth StorySlam since 2015.
Opener - Aaron Riggs
If you’re going to see one comedy show this year, you’re obviously not getting out enough, but all the more reason to make that a show with Riggs! He’s just your average guy who has a talent for finding the absurdity in every day life. His quick wit and ability to improvise with the every show uniquely hilarious. He has been known on more than one occasion to make audience members pee a little, but it’s a small price to pay to experience Rigg’s dead-on commentary on life as we all know it.
