About This Event
Join us for our 2nd Annual event: The Hope Still Lives Project Race for Resources on Sunday, June 29th at Allardale Park in Medina, Ohio. The Race for Resources is a family event consisting of a 5K/1 Mile option and Kids Dash, providing remembrance/collaboration opportunities with other families of loss within our community.
In 2024, we hosted a Scavenger Hunt and Day of Remembrance with over 80 participants and raised over $5,800! With your help, we hope to continue to grow our number of participants this year and achieve a goal of $7,500.
This event is for parents, family, friends, and loved ones who have been affected by perinatal loss, such as miscarriage, stillbirth, SUID, or the death of a newborn.
Hope Still Lives Project, a local non-profit 501(c)(3), was established in 2022 by a community of loss mothers, who have endured the pain of losing one (or more) babies. Collectively, we have over eight angels; Ephraim Cali, Braeden Christopher Poole, Caleb Andrew Longfield, Colton Michael Killiany, “Peanut” Killiany, Logan Richard Horval, Xander Lucas Martin, and Jayden Paul Wehrley.
We are driven to support families who have faced pregnancy loss as we have and aim to raise awareness within our Northeast Ohio communities. Hope Still Lives Project hosts community events, provides individual support, and our partnership with local healthcare providers allows opportunities to extend resources to families of loss.
Funds from this years event will continue to finance printing costs of the Hope Still Lives Project Resource Guide for Navigating Child Loss, which will be distributed within our community, including but not limited to, Cleveland Clinic and University Hospitals, as well as fund additional support opportunities.
