The annual Heart of Pueblo Don Mares Award honors individuals and/or organizations within the Pueblo Community who:
Have made a significant contribution in reducing the stigma and barriers experienced by individuals with mental illness;
Provide outstanding support or treatment to vulnerable individuals struggling with mental heath and wellness;
Advocate within the community for issues related to mental health and wellness; and
Embodies the spirit of giving, compassion, and heart in the realm of mental wellness.
Must Live/Work in Pueblo County
Your Nominee will receive a complimentary ticket to the Heart of Pueblo and will get to meet Don Mares, founder and instrumental partner of the Mental Wellness Program.
