About This Event
Wednesday, 09/23/2026 → 11:00am EDT - 1:30pm EDT
Honoring those who served — and who keep serving.
Join Hospice of Orange & Sullivan Counties for our Annual Veterans Breakfast, a morning of community, gratitude, and conversation. This year's program features a panel of local veterans who continue to serve their communities long after leaving the military — through volunteering, mentorship, advocacy, and everyday acts of leadership. Their stories remind us that service doesn't end at discharge; it takes on new form.
- Meet US Navy Veteran, Kevin Clardy, a Nam Knight doing endless good work, member of the Alcohol and Drug Abuse Council and more;
- US Marine Corps Veteran, Jose Morales Jr, the VFW District 2 Commander overseeing 52 posts, who was a Desert Storm Combat Engineer and recipient of medals and awards;
- West Point grad, elite Army helicopter pilot, and Gold Star family member and advocate for “Children of Fallen Patriots”, Colonel Jeanette McMahon
- And finally, our Emcee, a veteran and hospice advocate: WTBQ Station Manager Taylor Sterling
Over coffee and breakfast, we'll hear how these leaders carry the values of their service into civilian life, and how our community can honor and support the veterans among us. Veterans and Gold Star Families are warmly invited to bring a guest and attend for free. A suggested donation is encouraged for all others. The event has a limited capacity so please register today.
