About This Event
It's time for House Our Neighbors' second annual fundraiser! Last year at Homegrown we celebrated the passage of the Social Housing Tax, and kicked off our Social Housing Activators Program. One year later, we are celebrating the amazing community of over 150 Activators, and the acquisition of the very first social housing building and plans to build many more!
Join us for an evening of music, art, awards, food, and FUN! Featuring:
Live Performance and DJ Set by HOLLIS
Emcee Councilmember Alexis Mercedes Rinck
AND
- A panel of SSHD staff and board members discussing the groundbreaking SSHD resident governance model
- Delicious soul food from independent caterer Food of Essence (plenty of vegan options)
- A cash bar, and everyone who arrives before 6:30 will get a free drink ticket
- A live artist taking your input and creating a live illustration of our social housing vision that will be auctioned off
- Limited edition Housey tote bag for all new Activators or Activators increasing their recurring amount
Our goal is to raise $50,000 for this event and grow the Social Housing Activators base to 175 members. Even if you can't make it please consider a donation to support our continued policy, education, and base building work to protect our social housing wins and scale quickly!
Washington Hall is accessible by streetcar, and the 3, 4, 27 and 60 buses. Limited parking is available in the neighborhood
