MLK Day of Service 2026

Thank you for supporting the Verde River Watershed and our communities on MLK Day of Service, January 19, 2026!

Friends of the Verde River, Arizona State Parks, Oak Creek Watershed Council, The National Forests, and Prescott Creeks have all partnered to coordinate and host a river stewardship volunteer day for Martin Luther King Jr. Day of Service.

The Verde River and its tributaries are a major resource for the communities of the Verde Valley and it is important that we work to protect this resource. Come join a wonderful community of river stewards committed to a healthy Verde River at one of our sites or on your own! There are seven locations where we will be doing physical work and two other ways you can participate! Age recommendations are different for each location.
