Critter Camp is Back!
This year we are offering camps for two different age groups! Fees include all materials, activities, and lessons. Campers will have a blast with animal interactions, games, crafts & guest speakers! Lunch is not provided.
Compassion & Crafts: June 15th-19th, July 13th-17th (Ages 5-8) $200 9AM-12PM
Calling all young animal lovers! Compassion & Crafts is the perfect introduction to the world of shelter pets and kindness in action. Campers will explore what it means to help animals, meet some furry friends, and create animal-themed crafts to take home. With age-appropriate lessons and plenty of interactive fun, this camp builds empathy, confidence, and a love for helping animals in our community.
Animal Care Academy: June 22nd-26th, July 20th-24th (Ages 9-12) $200 9AM-12PM
Ready to go behind the scenes at Lexington Humane Society? Animal Care Academy is designed for older campers who want to dive deeper into how a shelter works and how they can help animals in our community. They'll explore different careers within LHS - from veterinary and behavior to foster and adoptions - and discover real ways they can make a difference for animals at home and in their neighborhoods. With interactive lessons, hands-on activities, and up-close experiences, Animal Care Academy empowers campers to turn their love for animals into action.
Camp doors will be opened at 8:45AM
Pick up ends at 12:15PM
Please Note:
If campers need drop off and/or pick up at 8:30AM to 12:30PM, please see the Late Pick Up and/or Early Drop Off Package. If camper is not enrolled in that package and is not picked up/dropped off within designated hours, the extended care fee ($10) will be applied for each day.
Camps are a captivating experience for all! To provide this opportunity to more children, each camper is only allowed to register for one week of camp.
The animals in our care are provided daily enrichment that includes peanut butter. We cannot ensure that campers will not come in contact with surfaces that have trace amounts. For this reason, we do not recommend that children with severe peanut allergies attend camp.
