Black Maternal Health Month Awareness Campaign: The Birth of Midwifery Care

About This Event

Midwifery Awareness - October 6 | 6:00–7:00 PM CT | Virtual via Zoom

Join I Be Black Girl (IBBG) during National Midwifery Week, recognized from October 4th to October 10th, as we celebrate the power, history, and impact of midwifery care. This engaging virtual conversation will feature Jamarah Amani, a nationally recognized midwife and the Executive Director of the Southern Birth Justice Network, who will share insights on the state of midwifery across the country and how expanding access to midwives can improve birth outcomes for Black families and communities.

Whether you're planning a family, supporting a loved one, working in birth work, or simply curious about midwifery, this session is an opportunity to learn, ask questions, and deepen your understanding of this essential model of care.
