About This Event
Dad to Dudla: Partners, Advocacy & Family Wellness
October 30 | 11:30 AM–2:00 PM
Village Empowerment Center
Partners deserve support, too! Join IBBG for an energizing and community-centered conversation with Juan Irby, Birth & Postpartum Doula, New Parent and Childbirth Educator, and founder of Dad to Dudla.
This session is all about helping partners show up with confidence, for their loved ones, their children, and themselves. Juan will share practical tools for advocating during pregnancy, birth, and postpartum while prioritizing the wellness of the entire family.
Come connect with other partners, learn from a birth professional who understands the journey, and leave feeling more prepared to be an informed and supportive advocate.
What you’ll experience:
- Practical strategies for supporting a birthing loved one
- Tools for effective advocacy during the perinatal journey
- Honest conversation about partner wellness and family support
- Opportunities to connect and network with other partners
- Refreshments provided!
Come ready to learn, connect, and leave empowered to be an active part of the birth and parenting journey.
FYI: Be sure to check out the Midwifery Exhibit at Anarcha Center! Beginning October 2nd, this immersive experience explores the history and legacy of midwifery care, including Nebraska-specific policies and narratives and the life and legacy of Anarcha Westcott, the center’s namesake.
Exhibit Hours: Monday–Wednesday, 9 AM–2 PM | Thursday–Friday, 9 AM–7 PM | Saturday, 9 AM–12 PM
Open throughout October.
