About This Event
Join I Be Black Girl for Legislative Day 2026 — a powerful day of advocacy, learning, and community!
March 4th, 2026 — 9 am to 2 pm
This event is designed for everyone — whether you're stepping into advocacy for the first time or have long been using your voice for change. Together, we’ll build collective power to push for policies that center community needs and create a Nebraska where Black people can live wholly and freely.
What to expect:
✨ Learn the ins and outs of the Nebraska legislature and get real-time updates on key issues impacting our communities.
✨ Hear directly from Nebraska Senators and engage in meaningful conversations about policy.
✨ Connect and build relationships with like-minded community members who share a vision for justice and equity.
We’re making it easy for you to join:
- Enjoy breakfast, lunch, and a swag bag—because advocacy should be fueled by joy and community!
- Need a ride? We’ve got bus transportation from Omaha to Lincoln or a gas card if you're driving yourself.
Why attend?
Civic Engagement is more than just a moment—it's a movement. Your voice matters. Your presence matters. And when we show up together, we build the kind of power that moves policy and transforms communities.
Ready to make an impact? Sign up today!
