Independence360 (I360), our adult center located in Livingston and Whippany, serves 150 adults over age 21 with autism and related disabilities. The objectives of I360 are that each adult client enjoys a positive quality of life, develops skills necessary for life and employment, while learning to become as independent as possible. This includes functioning as productive adults in the community and workplace based on their individual abilities.
We achieve these objectives by teaching life skills, social skills, employment skills and setting personal goals for each client. This includes financial literacy, communication, technology, culinary, and so much more! For example, a client we see excelling in computer skills, might be placed in workplaces with data entry responsibilities.
I360 is approved by the Department of Developmental Disabilities (DDD), Medicaid and the Division of Vocational Rehabilitation Services (DVRS) to support more advanced job training and placement needs.
I360 also is accredited by the prestigious Commission on Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities (CARF) in the area of employment services, setting the highest standards for quality service to the individuals we serve.
