Elsie Joan Edlis passed away peacefully at the age of 89, surrounded by the love of her family. She was a devoted wife to her beloved husband, Lynn, for more than 70 years, a loving mother of three daughters, grandmother of seven, and great-grandmother.
Born in Paterson, New Jersey, to Welsh immigrants Ronald and Elsie Vaughan, Elsie lived a life defined by kindness, strength, and determination. She was a gifted pianist, a Westminster College graduate, and a trailblazer in her career as the first female sales representative at Andrew Corporation.
For many years, Elsie lived with Addison’s disease with remarkable courage, resilience, and grace. She never allowed her diagnosis to define her, choosing instead to focus on her family, her friends, and the people she loved.
In her memory, our family invites donations to support Addison’s disease research and education so that others living with this rare condition may benefit from continued advances in treatment and awareness.
Elsie’s love, generosity, and strength will remain an inspiration to all who knew her, and her legacy will live on in the family she cherished so deeply.
