All of us at Big Brothers Big Sisters of Puget Sound are heartbroken over the loss of our Board Member Kevin Carothers.

Kevin was an active member of our Board since 2021 finding ways to lean into his experience relationships and knowledge to find unique ways to contribute to our mission. His emphasis on building relationships and supporting the community was present in everything he did with BBBSPS.

Kevin spent the last 29 years in a variety roles at Starbucks Coffee Company and always found ways to use that experience to make a difference. As a Board Member Kevin worked tirelessly for our mission securing unique items for our Gala and Auction; bringing Big Brothers Big Sisters of Puget Sound in as the initial partner for the Starbucks ALL.IN Seattle event in 2023; coordinating a roundtable event with our President and CEO, Alonda Williams, and National BBBS CEO Artis Stevens at Starbucks HQ in October 2024; and securing a Starbucks donation to sponsor a coffee as the first match activity for the next 500 new matches here at Big Brothers Big Sisters of Puget Sound.

Kevin's team at Starbucks asked in lieu of flower that gifts be made in his honor to Big Brothers Big Sisters of Puget Sound, an organization he supported so deeply.
