Join us for an exciting afternoon of opera and fine food when IFFV makes its annual visit to the Metropolitan Opera in New York to see the first new production of Vincenzo Bellini's I Puritani in 50 years.

Our day begins in Verdi Square at Salumeria Rosi where we will celebrate with a brunch buffet and open bar (including Bellinis, of course). Professor Francesco Izzo, General Editor of The Works of Giuseppe Verdi, University of Chicago Press and Casa Ricordi and the Direttore Didattico, Accademia Verdiana Teatro Regio Parma, will be present to offer his thoughts on Verdi, Bellini, and the Bel Canto style. The opera cast includes Lisette Oropesa and Lawrence Brownlee in a new production by Charles Edwards and conducted by Marco Armiliato.
