The Center for Heirs' Property Preservation® invites you to a private screening of Gaining Ground: The Fight for Black Land, a multi-award-winning documentary from Executive Producer Al Roker and John Deere.
Attendees will learn more about the history and plight of black farmers through storytelling. The documentary aims to build awareness around the issue of heirs’ property, the leading cause of involuntary black land loss. The Center is a featured organization, including our CEO, Dr. Jennie Stephens. The program will include a Q&A with Eternal Polk, Gaining Ground Film Director, Tharlyn Fox, LEAP Manager with John Deere, and Dr. Jennie Stephens.
