About this Event

A entrepreneurship opportunity for high school students.

Teachers: please use this form to register your students for this event.

JA Pitch Day is a competition where qualified student teams who participated in the JA Company Program will have the chance to pitch their business plans to a panel of judges.

Through the generosity of our various sponsors and the helping hands of our gracious volunteers, we are able to provide high school students with the opportunity to test their entrepreneurship skills and learn from a local business professionals as mentors in the expertise of running a business.

By tapping into the wants and needs of their local communities, students create products and services that can be sold to the public. From there, the students work collaboratively throughout their school's semester to perfect their business plans, marketing tactics, and master their pitches.

During JA Pitch Day, students will pitch their ideas to local business professionals and entrepreneurs with the hopes of taking home an award! A panel of judges will vote on a winning team based on their business pitch.

To participate, students must complete the JA Company Program or JA Company Program Pop-Up. If your class has not yet signed up, please contact Carl Ernst by calling (616)575-9080 x 2243 or by email at carl.ernst@ja.org.

Schools who drop out or significantly reduce participants within a month of the event, may be charged a fee.
