Japanese Fall Festival Details
Hours and Admission:
Your workshop registration does NOT include festival admission. Admission is required to enter the festival. The Saikei and Bonsai workshops are held within the festival.

Getting There
Arrive Early:
The festival is a high-traffic event. Please plan to arrive in the park at least 30 minutes to one hour prior to your workshop time. This should allow for festival traffic, parking, and navigating to your workshop location.
No Left Turns:
To minimize traffic congestion during the festival, left turns will not be allowed to enter or exit the Botanical Gardens. To enter the park, vehicles must arrive northbound on Scenic Avenue from Battlefield Road and make a right turn into the park. To exit the park, vehicles may only turn right onto Scenic Avenue northbound to Sunshine Street.
Parking:
Park staff will guide you to a parking space that may or may not be paved. Please alert them of any mobility concerns and they will park you as close to the entrance as possible.
Workshop Locations
Botanical Center: The Calligraphy, Amezaiku, and Wagashi workshops take place at the Botanical Center which is NOT located within the Mizumoto Japanese Stroll Garden where the festival is held. A shuttle is available from the festival to the Botanical Center located within the Springfield Botanical Gardens. To use the shuttle, please arrive at Tram Stop 1 at least 15 minutes prior to the workshop time. If you are just arriving to the park, you may navigate directly to the Botanical Center from your vehicle.
Botanical Center: The Furoshiki workshop begins prior to the festival opening, and it takes place at the Botanical Center which is NOT located within the Mizumoto Japanese Stroll Garden where the festival is held. Please navigate directly to the Botanical Center when you arrive.
Workshop Area within the Festival: The Bonsai and Saikei workshops are held in the festival workshop area located near the front gate of the Mizumoto Japanese Stroll Garden where the festival is held. You will need to pay festival admission at the front gate. If your workshop time is nearing while you are in the admission line, please politely move to the front of the line and let a volunteer know.
