Summer Solstice Sunset Hike

About This Event

Hike to Sentinel Point at sunset and celebrate the shortest night of the year with us!

We will meet at the parking lot and take a slow walk at dusk up to Sentinel Point while we listen to the evening sounds of the ocean, the hoots of owls in the trees and the howing coyotes in the distance. From the peak of Sentinel Point, we will watch the sunset and and fully appreciate the longest day of the year.

The hike will be about about 2 miles with 300' of elevation gain.

Suggested items to bring

  • Flashlight
  • Water
  • Closed toed hiking shoes
  • Hiking poles
